I’ve always loved to write. Obviously, that’s one of the main reasons for this blog. But even as a child and teenager I kept journals or sketchbooks. In college it was mostly for concepts and designs, but I miss the days when I documented my life as it was happening with absolutely no filter.

The type A side of me loves the fact that bullet journals are becoming more and more popular. After all, I do love a good planner. But the type B side of me wants to just smear paint across the blank page and see what happens. But getting started is always the hardest part isn’t it?

Mike was the sweetest and got me a super nice leather bound journal and a new calligraphy set for Christmas, knowing how interested I am in starting journaling again. But the blank pages of a fresh notebook are always daunting somehow. WHAT IF I MESS UP THIS BEAUTIFUL JOURNAL?! And thus, cue instagram and hours of looking through journal inspiration. I’d thought I’d share some of my favorite finds with you all so you can share in my amazement, inspiration, and mild envy.
