Social media is a BIG topic these days, and for good reason. New apps are popping up everyday, there are tons of new features on all of our tried and true platforms, and just when you think you’ve got things figured out, algorithms up and change on us again. But we all know the power that social media can have. A great social media strategy can handle all of your marketing needs and can propel your business into success that’s bigger than you may have ever planned for. It has changed the way clients are introduced to businesses and for some people their social media presence literally IS their business.  But because of the pressure that so many of us feel surrounding social media, a lot of times Instagram in particular, so often we let comparison take over, the whole thing starts to feel more overwhelming than it should, and we end up getting burnt out, or worse, calling it quits all together. So how do we take some of this stress away and get back to being social on these platforms? You know, what social media was made for…

Today I’m welcoming Kirsten Lawler of Alway Services to the podcast. Kirsten is your go-to girl for basically every small business need including content creation, copywriting, sales and marketing strategy, social media strategy, and content scheduling. She works with businesses at any stage in the game to help them make sense of their marketing and client relations and gives them the tools to continue building an engaged and involved audience that will help support their business in the long run. She also happens to be the queen of showing up on social media in a truly genuine and approachable way and her instagram stories are always one of my favorites to watch through each day. Today I’m sitting down with her to chat about some of her best social media strategies, what it means to engage on Instagram in a way that’s actually boosting your reach and attracting your ideal audience, and how to actually ENJOY showing up on the app again: something I know I have desperately needed these days.
