I can’t believe it’s already February but January was one of my most productive months to date! I posted consistently to this blog, launched the Broadening Horizons Podcast, sent off several batches of prints, worked with 3 different clients, had virtual coffee dates with 4 other designers, signed up for a designers conference, and got some major wedding planning done. All in all, the start of the year has been good to me. I can’t wait to see what February holds!
I’ve actually been keeping up with my blog posting this month which is shocking, I know! Content Calendars work guys! I’m a firm believer in how planning in advance helps you accomplish a goal and this is proof. I have lots of great stuff planned for February, for the blog and for the podcast and I’m going to do my best to keep posting regularly.
I’ve been adding a lot of Lettering Lessons to the Library these days and you guys have been loving them, but I’d love to start adding more to just the general resources of the library. Some of the posts I have coming up have great bonus content to go along with them, so I hope to continue building the Resource Library and give you guys something else to look forward to.
There’s a few processes that I’m revamping this month. I tend to do this every year or so, sometimes sooner if I need it. It’s always a good thing to keep contracts up to date and workflow running smoothly. Any changes I can make, even client to client, can make a world of difference getting all other business things moving right along so that I can focus on designing.
It’s always crazy for me to think that something tangible I have created is hanging in homes around the globe right now. My little coffee prints have been crazy popular and I’m currently selling them in two stores aside from my Etsy. While I’m still super in love with the prints I’m currently selling, I think it’s time to refresh the stock and paint some new ones to add to the mix.
You know I had to include something a little personal in these goals. With wedding planning still in full swing and missing my little nephew, I really need to get home sometime this month. Last year I was really good about seeing my family at least once a month and I really want to keep that up this year.
As always, enjoy the free background download for this month! For February I focused on soft watercolor and something a little more abstract. There are versions for your computer, tablet and phone wallpapers. Just scroll back to the top and sign up to our newsletter receive your free download!
