The first time a friend asked me this I didn’t know how to respond.

In the last 6 years my main form of social media has been marketing my business. My personal accounts are hardly used.

And with everyone and their mother telling us best social media practices, what hashtags to use, what apps to use, how to schedule posts, when to post, when not to post, etc. there’s no doubting that the spontaneity of posting is gone for most entrepreneurs.

I didn’t know what I would post about if it wasn’t business related. If I would just post our vacations. If I would post when we had big things going on in our life. If I’d share just the simple, everyday moments I found beautiful. If I’d share things that inspired me or memes I found funny. Or if I would even post at all.

So I’m just curious, if you didn’t have to market yourself… what would you post?

Allow me to officially introduce the newest member

Allow me to officially introduce the newest member of the Sweet Horizon team and Miller family: Toffee!

This little 4 month old guy has been with us for almost 2 weeks now and he has bonded HARD!

We weren’t even sure if we were ready for another dog after losing our soulmate of a dog last year but last month I started just looking through the rescues in our area. That’s how it always starts, right? Just “looking” 😉

Once we saw this smile and those fluffy little ears we knew we had to meet him! And, man oh man, we are so in love already!!

He’s named after English toffee with its chocolate top and caramel bottom. DNA test has been submitted so we will update when we find out what he is!

We literally couldn’t ask for a sweeter and more loving puppy. I hope you like puppy photos/videos in your Instagram stories because there will definitely be a LOT of them!

Genuine question: how do you make time for all the things you want to do?

I feel like I’ve become a bit better about time-management in the last few years (is this what adulthood is all about?) with most of my reoccurring household to-do’s set as reminders and making daily task lists for work.

However, I still feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day and my days fluctuate between solely focusing on my needs vs. solely focusing on work needs or household needs.

How do you keep a clean house, prioritize cooking healthy meals, exercising, and maintaining mental self-care while ALSO meeting the needs of pets & children while ALSO making time for your partner, friends, and family while ALSO learning new skills for work/taking courses, creating & publishing marketing content for your business, revising sales funnels and project processes, developing & promoting passive income streams, preparing for work meetings, all while ACTUALLY completing client work, while ALSO making time for hobbies like gardening, reading, painting, etc.

I legitimately am finding it hard to make time for everything I want to do in this life. Let me know any pointers or time savers that have been game changers for you.

Last Saturday I turned 31. To be honest this age

Last Saturday I turned 31.

To be honest this age doesn't scare me. I kind of thought it would. I'm firmly out of my 20's and, while 21 doesn't FEEL like that long ago, so much has changed about my life in that last decade.

I'm actually thrilled to be 31. I'm joyful that I've had 31 years on this planet. I'm thankful for all the things I've already gotten to do and experience in these 31 years. I'm finally understanding things about myself and it has given me a new sense of confidence I didn't have in my 20s. And despite the heartache of this last year, I'm truly optimistic about what the future holds.

So I'm ready for you, 31. I'm stepping into this new year of life with excitement, enthusiasm, determination, and hope. Here's to making it a good one.
